Does your Group work with the local Police and Crime Commissioner, Safer Roads Partnership or other organisations in your area? How can we support you in building these kinds of partnerships, or establishing new ones?
As you know, our core mission is to make better drivers, helping to make our roads safer for all.
We’re aware that many of our Groups have long-established partnerships with other local organisations that share our aim of making a positive difference to road safety. Some work with their Police and Crime Commissioners, and Safer Roads Partnerships, while others have contact with emergency services and schools, partnering on activity that can really make a difference to local road safety. We’d like to find out more about the kinds of partnerships that our Groups have, and to create a range of supporting resources that will help to strengthen and grow existing partnerships of this kind, and to establish new ones wherever possible.
Success stories
Recent examples of the great road safety activity originating from Groups’ local partnerships include:
- Our work with Warwickshire County Council, which has been offering free Mature Driver Reviews to Warwickshire residents.
- This initiative supporting the safety of young drivers, spearheaded by our Lincolnshire group in collaboration with their PCC.
Help us to help you
This is where we’d like your help. Many people involved with our Groups have contacts in some of these organisations, and we’d like to explore how we can develop our existing channels of communication to build partnerships, and to provide the necessary support to help them thrive.
With this in mind, please complete this questionnaire, which will help us to understand the range of local partnership opportunities out there, the type of activity that Groups engage in, and ways in which IAM RoadSmart can support the great work you do.
